No, it's not japanese, but the Basque for "urban". Hiriko car is designed to be used in cities, with a maximun speed of 50 km per hour. It has an autonomy of 120 km and the time required for charging it will be about 15 minutes, and Hiriko electric car folds up to take one-third of a parking spot.
It's registered as a cuadricycle, so it won't require driving license in some countries.
